Spinning Nozzles & Nozzle Blocks


 Since 1927, the production of spinning nozzles is part of Frey's core business. We design nozzles in every desired and required shape and dimension, for the production of synthetic silk and staple fibers, as well as for all types of synthetic fibers.

Thus, we have worked on the further development of spinning nozzles, within the company and in cooperation with our customers. Our individualized production of spinning nozzles according to customer requirements and drawings is cost-effective and of highest precision.



Our production and product range includes:

  • Two-dimensional spinning nozzles, round or square shaped
  • Cap nozzles and pot type nozzles
  • Ring spinnerets
  • Bicomponent spinnerets
  • Repairs and professional reconditioning of used spinnerets
  • Die plates and die plate blocks for fiber extruders
  • Hole diameters starting at 0.01 mm with tolerances up to +/- 1 μm
  • As a special program also hole profiles, for example slits, triangular etc.


The most common materials for spinnerets are DIN 1.4021, 1.4057, 1.4436, 1.4541, 1.4571, 1.4577 und 1.4580. Because the selection of materials depends on the spinning product and cleaning medium, we gladly comply with our customer's requests and specifications. Finishing and final inspection of the spinnerets are carried out with the utmost attention to detail. Thus, we can guarantee for the highest workmanship of the drill

  • burr-free, shiny inner surfaces
  • finest surface roughness of below 1 μm

The maintained tolerances of the fine boring of 0.002 mm and the capillary length of 0.02 mm ensure optimal fiber quality, documented in extensive tests and in production.
